A manufacturer of a product has its manual. Why then should people go outside God who made man and instituted marriage for manual to operate marriage? Is it not paradoxical to behave thus? The one who made something should be contacted for a manual to operate it. Why do people go outside God to find a manual for marriage?
Man’s ideas based mainly on selfishness and self-gratification can never be the manual for marriage. The destroyer and deceiver – the devil; has so find a willing tool in depraved man that he is always assailing marriage in order to destroy the fabric of society and pull man to hell.
When the family is destroyed, society is destroyed. People live anyhow and sin abounds everywhere. Hence men are dragged in their numbers into hell by the devil. The easiest way for the devil to get people into hell is to destroy the family unit. And depraved man is more than willing to assist the devil in this direction.
Struggle for leadership position within the union, selfish ambition to get more from the union instead of giving to the union, stubbornness, etc., is tearing apart what should have been a sanctuary for two grown-ups.
Satan has made marriage hell on earth instead of heaven on earth. It is mind-boggling that two people who are expected to protect, love each other, and live in harmony together; tear each other and destroy each other.
Salvation comes from the LORD God and the earlier man realizes this fact the better it will be for him and his short life on earth. Outside God nothing works. Leave God out of his affairs and man is doomed for failure.
Marriage is from God so He must be relied upon to make it it work. Anything besides this is effort in futility. Beside God man cannot do anything meaningful. The fact is that God has the manual for marriage. It is His Word.
