Lying
Lying is making a statement that is not true, speaking or doing an action that one knows is contrary to what he is saying. It can be a half-truth or a total untruth. Lies mock the intelligence of the one being lied to. They mock him, belittle him, and make him lower than he is.
Lying denigrates the person being lied to – it makes him lower than how he is; it makes him look stupid and without sense. It breaks trust between people. It is an unhealthy form of language and practice that must not be entertained in any relationship.
It is a trust killer. It demeans people. It breaks heart. It destroys marriages and is a destroyer of lives. It is a murderer of the highest degree. Wherever it goes it leaves in its trail a tale of woes. Because of its nature of destructiveness, Satan uses it as his first-class weapon against mankind. Its effectiveness is seen in the fall of mankind as evidenced in the Garden of Eden.
God the Creator takes a strong look at those who partake in the practice of lying. It destroys both the liar and the person being lied to. Lying is a devious sin that leads man to the eternal fire or hell.
Satan is the father of lies; hence anyone who partakes in lying belongs to the kingdom of Satan. One cannot claim to be a Christian and be full of lies. Lying is devilish and should be shunned by all who seek eternal life.
