The group expressed their desire for clearly defined constituency organiser roles and humbly seeks the former President’s advocacy
On April 29, 2025, Constituency Organisers from the Greater Accra Region paid a courtesy call on the First National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, at his Nima residence.
Welcoming the Greater Accra Organisers, the former President warmly embraced their mission and delivered a concise yet impactful message: “Political parties win and lose elections—it is part of the journey. Yes, we have faced a setback, but I have no doubt we can make a strong comeback. It is time to move beyond self-pity, regroup with purpose, and forge ahead with unity. If we truly believe in our cause, then we must act like it, ready to earn back the trust of the people in 2028.”
According to the group, “It was a deeply inspiring moment that ignited our passion and strengthened our resolve for the journey ahead—renewing our belief that the mighty Elephant will triumph once more.”
With the proposed NPP Constitution amendments underway, the group expressed their desire for clearly defined constituency organiser roles and humbly seeks the former President’s advocacy
They also conveyed their deep concern over what they described as a covert attempt by the current administration to undermine the independence of the judiciary, particularly concerning the suspension and potential removal of the Chief Justice.
