April 13, 2025, is a significant milestone, marking one full year since the launch of Friends of Bawumia (FOB) UK—a journey members celebrate with gratitude and joy, all to the Glory of God Almighty.
Below is the speech of Dr Eric Adjei Yeboah, Coordinator – FOB UK, on the occasion:
“And looking back at the very choreographed occasion, the grandeur, the splendour, the magnificence, the lineup of national party executives, and former CEOs; NPP UK Council of Elders, Branch and Chapter executives, and members in attendance, we can only bask in pride and say we are most grateful to you all for the extraordinary support you offered to make the occasion a worthy one.
Of special mention are the following:
. HE Papa Owusu Ankomah (Former High Commissioner to the UK), who took time off his busy schedule to be with us.
. Mr Kingsley Adumatta Agyapong, our illustrious Branch Chairman whose wise counsel during the entire preparatory process and the launching, was incalculable.
. Mr Richard Gyamfi, Member of the 2024 Bawumia Campaign Team, who was also constantly in touch during the preparatory stage to ensure the planning was properly controlled; as well as taking up the onerous responsibility of swearing in the newly-constituted executive team.
. Mr Winfred Gidiglo (Chairman Saddam), the FOB National Chairman, who suspended all his national assignments and flew in to grace the occasion with his presence.
We at FOB UK, at this moment of reflection, cannot be grateful enough!! Your immense support cannot be lost on our minds. And moving on into the future we aver that we will continue to work collaboratively with our European and US Counterparts, and party, with HE Dr Mahamudu Bawumia leading the charge, to bring home victory in 2028, Insha Allah.
