Hearing from God
Sin which is disobedience to God separates man from God.
One can only hear from God when he dedicates his life to God. If one does not give his life to God and trusts Him, how can he hear from God? What has light got to do with darkness? To hear from God demands total obedience to God and humility before him. One must trust God with his life.
God is a Supreme Being and communes with His worshippers but not stubborn and disobedient souls. God is not a frivolous talker, speaking anyhow with anybody. He speaks with His loyal servants, giving them directives as to how to glorify Him.
To those who are prepared to carry the agenda of His Kingdom on earth, He is always available. A person with stubborn heart though God will speak to, will not hear. Humility, obedience, and holiness put a man closer to God to hear from Him.
It is not a matter of knowing the Word of God; it is following the Word of God – those who do what the Word of God says. Those who search for the LORD with sincere hearts find Him and hear from Him.
God is always speaking but it is those who care to listen that hear his voice. Many people do listen to God speaking to them through diverse ways but they do not hear His voice. Their ears are sealed with sin. Sin has clogged their ears that they do not hear what God is saying. Sin hinders man from hearing from God.
God is a holy God who hates sin; therefore anyone who wants to be in in His presence must separate himself from sin. Sinners have no place in the Kingdom of God and His Son Jesus Christ.
Sin which is disobedience to God separates man from God.
