“To Ghanaians, we have heard you clearly and with humility we accept. We will work with you to get it right.”
The Running Mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has in a statement on December 11, 2024, reiterated the Party’s respect for the Ghanaian people’s verdict.
“We strongly condemn this violence and apologise for the harm, trauma, and distress inflicted upon you. Your selfless dedication to serving humanity and spreading the message of love and compassion deserves utmost respect and gratitude,” a statement from the Nkwanta South NDC Secretariat said.
He stated that he has engaged in extensive discussions with the NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to reflect on the outcome of the recent elections. He also mentioned that, in due course, the political party would further analyze the reasons behind the loss in the 2024 elections.
“I strongly uphold the values, ideals, and traditions of the NPP. As we embark on a period of genuine introspection and reflection following this electoral verdict, I am confident that we will emerge stronger and regain the trust, confidence, support, and affection of Ghanaians,” stated Dr Opoku Prempeh, widely known as NAPO.
