“We have fought hard for change and now is the time to demonstrate our commitment to rebuilding the Ghana we want.”
John Dramani Mahama, President-Elect, has, in a broadcast, strongly condemned the acts of hooliganism, vandalism, and looting that have been unleashed across the country by certain individuals since the 2024 elections.
“These acts must cease immediately,” he said.
He said since state power is still in the hands of the present administration, the President and the security agencies must act decisively to curb the ongoing acts of lawlessness immediately.
John Mahama urged all citizens to remain calm and avoid actions that could harm the country’s institutions and its democracy. “We have fought hard for change and now is the time to demonstrate our commitment to rebuilding the Ghana we want,” he emphasized.
He urged the youth not to express their frustrations through criminal activities; instead, they must channel their anger and frustrations into the positive goal of resetting and rebuilding the nation.
