The narrative has been one of despair and pain, however, there exist windows of hope.
The quest or plan to Rebuild, Rebrand and Refocus the NPP has become a relevant topical issue among the rank and file of the Kukrudu family. The outcome of the 2024 Presidential & Parliamentary elections has left a bitter taste in the mouths of all and sundry (Party activists and sympathizers alike).
A heavy defeat has been forced on us, very pathetic indeed.
I am inclined to believe that the NDC came in as radicals seeking to extract vengeance, they got downright nasty in the process.
The narrative has been one of despair and pain, however, there exist windows of hope. It is for us to seize the opportunities to turn things around.
Post-elections investigations are on-going, it is my hope that the How’s and Why’s will be unearthed and comprehensive report produced sooner than later.
As I ponder over these challenging and distressful times of our great Party, I am quick to remind myself of the UP-Tradition’s resilience, her persevering attributes and determination to brace the odds.
At this point, it is only proper to console ourselves but equally relevant to share the following thoughts;
- Embracing the change: – This will help us to build resilience and make the change work in our favour.
- Emotional Healing: – We need to put ourselves back together again. Eschew pettiness and acrimony.
- Motivation: – Provide strategic /Action plan that apply key skills to develop, appraise and empower the rank and file.
- Paradigm Shift: – Ceding power to the people. The base of the pyramid must be allowed to elect leaders at all levels. Thus, abrogating the delegates system.
- United Front: – Unity, Unity, Unity should be the battle cry. We must bring back the LOVE & AFFINITY. Lost party faithfuls, friends and sympathizers must come back home.
