President John Dramani Mahama has made ministerial nominations and also revoked the appointments of some other state appointees.
Under Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution, the President has submitted three persons as ministers-designate to the Speaker of Parliament.
They are Hon Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, an Economist, Minister for Finance; Hon John Abudlai Jinapor, Minister for Energy; and, Hon Dominic Akuringa Ayini, Attorney-General and Minister for Justice.


President Mahama has also per the Local Government Act, 2016 (Act 936) as amended by the Local Governance (Amendment) Act, 2017, (Act 940), revoked the appointments of chief executives of metropolitan, municipal, and district assemblies.
Also having their appointments revoked are appointed assembly members.
