A 23-year-old man, Osei Kwabena, has died, and three others critically injured following the collapse of an illegal mining pit on December 17 at Nkonteng, near Nkawie in the Ashanti Region.
The deceased was trapped under the rubble and could not be rescued, while the injured victims were pulled out and rushed to the Nkawie Government Hospital for treatment.The body of the deceased has been sent to the morgue for autopsy
