“Go and vote. You owe it to Ghana and yourself.”
President Akufo-Addo has called on Ghanaians to uphold peace, dignity, and democratic values during the December 7 elections.
In a televised address captured on his facebook page, he reflected on Ghana’s democratic progress, praising the Electoral Commission for its transparency, and commended security agencies for ensuring order.
Highlighting the significance of protecting Ghana’s reputation for peaceful elections, he urged citizens to vote responsibly and cooperate with officials.
“Go and vote. You owe it to Ghana and yourself,” the President said, calling blessings for the nation.
As his tenure and that of the 8th Parliament get to a close, he emphasized the collective duty to maintain stability and prosperity, encouraging all to cast their ballots for the nation’s future.
Ghana’s elections are anticipated to draw millions of voters to polling stations across the country, with key political parties and candidates competing for the presidency and seats in the 9th Parliament.
