Boni King Tackie Adama Latse II has stated categorically that he is the legitimate Ga Mantse.
In a statement dated on October 26. 2024, King Tackie Adama Latse made it clear that he is the “current customarily enstooled and constitutionally recognized Ga Mantse, and that any other person parading as such is an imposter”
“In the year 2011, I went through every customary and traditional rites required for the enstoolment and was duly outdoored on the 11th Day of June 2011 to the Ghanaian public, as the successor to my illustrious predecessor, Boni Nii Amugi II, amid much fanfare and joyous outpouring of goodwill”, he said.
According to him, recent rumours are rife with innuendo and suggestions claiming he has relinquished the esteemed office of Ga Mantse in favour of his nephew, Kelvin Nii Tackie.
“This is completely untrue and, frankly, an insult to the honorable people of GaDangme,” declared the King.
He assured the Ga State, stating, “I will never—and I emphasize, for absolute clarity—accept any inducement from any source to vacate the office of Ga Mantse. I will not entertain such a sacrilegious notion from the camp of the imposter and his political backers.”
