The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia toured the Afigya Kwabre South, Old Tafo Pankrono, and Suame Constituencies in the Ashanti Region on Sunday, October 10, 2024. The visit was part of his ongoing nationwide campaign focused on individual constituencies.
He highlighted his vision of Bold Solutions for Jobs and Business at various engagements with the Imams, Clergy, Traditional Leaders, Youth and Stakeholders in the various constituencies.
He explained that “One of the most remarkable achievements of this Government since 2017 has been in the health sector, with 48 Hospitals, 230 Health Centres and 428 CHPS Compounds constructed and over 200,000 personnel recruited; establishment of a world-leading Drone Medical Delivery service; ongoing construction of over 100 hospitals under the Agenda 111 programme, and the networking of health records in all Teaching, Regional, District and hundreds of Health Centres is testament to our commitment to meeting the health needs of Ghanaians”.
Dr. Bawumia who is also the Vice President of Ghana announced that following a successful six-month pilot, Kidney Dialysis treatment for all patients will be free from December 1, 2024 under the National Health Insurance Scheme.
“The NPP has always prioritized the health of its citizens, and a Bawumia presidency will further advance healthcare by making it more technology-driven and geographically accessible to all Ghanaians,” he stated.
