Ghana has honoured Opanyin Abraham Kwaku Adusei, an 82-year-old farmer from the Eastern Region, as the 2025 Overall Best National Farmer at the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration in Ho.
Adusei, who also serves as the General Superintendent of the Saviour Church of Ghana and President of the World Cocoa Farmers Association, has spent 44 years building a remarkable agricultural empire with 1,000 acres of cocoa, 293 acres of mango and 30 acres of cashew.
He received GH¢1.2 million, a brand-new tractor, a truck, power trailers, a motorized sprayer and a commemorative plaque from President John Mahama.
His win underscores a lifetime of dedication and cements his influence in Ghana’s agricultural landscape.
