At the conclusion of his ‘Thank You’ tour to the United Kingdom, a delegation from the Executive Team of Friends of Bawumia UK (FOB UK), led by the group’s Coordinator, Dr. Eric Adjei Yeboah, had the honour of being granted an audience with His Excellency Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana, on Monday, May 19, 2025.
The meeting marked Dr Bawumia’s first official engagement with the UK Branch of the group following the New Patriotic Party’s electoral defeat in the previous year. Key highlights of the encounter included an expression of gratitude for his moral support towards the group’s activities, particularly during the last electoral cycle, as well as a reaffirmation of the group’s unwavering commitment to supporting his leadership in the upcoming party primaries; anticipated in the following year, and in future political endeavours.
The group conveyed their firm conviction that, under the leadership of Dr Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) stands a strong chance of securing victory in the 2028 general elections, provided there is unity of purpose and collective effort across all levels of the party. They took the opportunity to respectfully reiterate their appeal to all party delegates and NPP members to recognise this shared vision and rally in support of Dr Bawumia in the forthcoming flagbearership contest anticipated next year.
