The NPP Netherlands Branch has strongly denied social media reports suggesting that General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua used a recent meeting on May 18, 2025, to endorse a flagbearer or advance personal political ambitions.
The branch clarified that the meeting’s purpose was to strengthen party unity, reenergize the base, and discuss post-election rebuilding efforts.
In a statement signed by Aaron Appiah, Secretary, the Branch commended the General Secretary’s dedication and urged members to disregard false narratives that aim to sow division, and reaffirmed its commitment to party unity and progress.

RE: FALSE CLAIMS REGARDING NPP NETHERLANDS BRANCH MEETING WITH GENERAL SECRETARY JUSTIN FRIMPONG KODUA ON 18TH MAY 2025
The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Netherlands Branch unequivocally refutes and condemns the false and misleading narrative currently circulating on social media regarding our meeting with the General Secretary of the NPP, Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua, held on Sunday, 18th May 2025.
Contrary to the claims being peddled, the General Secretary did not use the meeting to solicit support for any aspiring flagbearer candidate, nor did he advocate for the idea that the party’s flagbearer should be elected before the election of other party officers. Furthermore, at no point during the meeting did he canvass for support or discuss his personal political ambitions.
The purpose of the meeting was clear, focused, and entirely constructive: to engage with the diaspora branch, reenergise the party’s base, and promote unity among members as part of the broader post-2024 election rebuilding efforts. Discussions centred on revitalising the party’s structures, strengthening cooperation between the national leadership and external branches, and reinforcing the core values of unity, service, and discipline.
The NPP Netherlands Branch commends the General Secretary for his dedication to the party’s forward movement and his continued efforts to engage with members globally. His visit was a timely and inspiring reminder of our collective responsibility to strengthen the party through collaboration and inclusiveness.
We urge all party members and the general public to disregard the false reports being circulated and treat them with the contempt they deserve. As a branch, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the party’s broader objectives and will not be distracted by attempts to create division or undermine our unity.
Signed:
Aaron Appiah
Secretary, NPP Netherlands Branch
