Former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has conveyed his heartfelt condolences on the passing of Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, Mamponhene, in a message shared on his official Facebook page. He stated:
Today is a very sad day for me. The announcement of the passing of the occupant of the Silver Stool, Daasebre Nana Osei Bonsu II, is not just shocking but devastating to me. Daasebre was a father to me and my wife, Samira. We enjoyed and cherished his wise counsel and support throughout our public and private lives. Hearing of the passing of such a genuine soul who was all-embracing and non-discriminatory is very sad.
My heartfelt condolences go to his wife, family, Otumfuo, Asanteman, and Asante Mampong.
