“It is with deep grief that I learned of the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis,” he said on his social media post.
Dr Bawumia stated, “The late Pope was a man of unwavering peace and compassion. He lived a life of inclusiveness and humility, which was admired by many around the world.”.
The former Vice President noted that the Pope’s character, exemplified by his commitment to purity and integrity, left a lasting impression during their meeting one year earlier.
