The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has received invitations from four elite senior high schools in the country to grace their milestone anniversaries.
The schools are:
1. MFANTSIPIM SCHOOL:
The oldest Secondary School in Ghana, Mfantsipim School also extended an invitation to the King to honour the school’s upcoming 150th-anniversary celebration with his presence. Mfantsipim School, located at Cape Coast, has as their appellation ‘KWABOTWE’.
2. ACHIMOTA SCHOOL:
The oldest Colonial School in Ghana formerly called the “The Prince of Wales College” has extended an invitation to the Asantehene to grace the school’s upcoming 100-year centenary of the school. The Accra-based school is popularly known as ‘MOTOWN’.
3. PREMPEH COLLEGE (Ghana’s Eton College):
Prempeh College has invited their owner, His Majesty the Asantehene, to grace the school’s 75th Anniversary celebration. Call the highly popular Kumasi School boys ‘AMANFOƆ’ and with pride they will respond ‘SENIOR’.
4. ASANTEMAN Senior High School:
The official school of Asante Kingdom, Asanteman Senior High School, has extended an invitation to their life time patron and King to grace the school’s 70th Anniversary celebration. The Kumasi School has as its appellation ‘NANANOM’.
