The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, was recently the Guest of Honour at the 2024 Kundum Festival of the people of the Lower Axim Traditional Area.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr Bawumia who is also the Vice President of Ghana, congratulated the Paramount Chief of the Lower Axim Traditional Area, Awulae Attiburukusu III and the people for a successful festival and urged them to support a peaceful election – an election based on ideas and policies and a mindset of possibilities for the good people of Ghana.
“Nananom, as we are all aware of the upcoming elections in December, I entreat Nananom and the people of Evalue Ajomoro Gwira to support a peaceful election, an election based on ideas and policies and a mindset of possibilities for the good people of Ghana”, the Vice President said.
According to Dr Bawumia, Evalue Ajomoro Gwira was very much blessed, as the President was in Nzema to cut the sod for the Petroleum Hub which was poised to create over 700,000 jobs.
“I urge the youth of Evalue Ajomoro Gwira area, Axim and its environs to guard this project with all their hearts and minds to see to its completion with the NPP Government”, he said at the grand durbar.
